Rohit Pawar stated that the DGCA has now admitted that the company had breached safety norms
The DGCA had on Monday grounded four VSR aircraft for lapses
The crash of a Learjet 45 (VT-SSK), operated by VSR Ventures Private Limited, near the Baramati airstrip in Pune district on January 28 claimed the lives of Ajit Pawar and four others
Speaking to reporters at Vidhan Bhavan, Pawar claimed that a DGCA report issued at 1.36 pm on the day of the crash stated that no “Level-I findings” had been reported against VSR Ventures during the last regulatory audit in February 2025. He alleged that this amounted to an attempt to shield the company, according to the PTI
Rohit Pawar questioned the regulator’s accountability, asking who was responsible for issuing airworthiness certificates and overseeing aircraft maintenance and flight safety
