Check out these rainy day scenes from Mumbai's suburbs

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a generally cloudy sky over Mumbai on Wednesday, with heavy rainfall expected across the city and its suburban areas. The weather department has also cautioned of occasional gusty winds, with wind speeds likely to reach 40–50 kmph. Here are some rainy day shots captured by mid-day.com lensman NIMESH DAVE

The weather bureau has issued a yellow alert, indicating heavy rainfall at isolated places 

For Thursday, the IMD has issued an orange alert for the city. Mumbai is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places, the weather bureau predicted 

A low tide is likely to occur at 5.10 pm at 1.84 metres, while the next low tide will be at 5.06 am on Thursday, at a height of 0.50 metres

 

In the past 24-hours until 8 am Wednesday, Mumbai recorded 47.77 mm in the city, 33.10 mm in the eastern suburbs, and 53.92 mm in the western suburbs

 

IMD said Mumbai's neighbouring districts: Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar are also likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places with strong winds and thunderstorms on Thursday
