A Rapido bike taxi rider in Bengaluru has been booked for allegedly trying to grab a woman passenger's legs during a ride on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place around 4 pm, following which the woman approached the Wilson Garden Police, who have registered an FIR and launched an investigation.

In an Instagram post describing the ordeal, the woman said the rider tried to touch her legs while riding from Church Street to her paying guest accommodation. "It happened so suddenly that I couldn't process it. When he did it again, I said, ‘Bhaiya, kya kar rahe ho, mat karo,' but he didn't stop," she wrote.

Public transport unsafe for women everywhere

In another unsettling incident on Friday, a video from Kerala surfaced on the Internet. It showed a male co-passenger trying to slip his hand inside a woman's blouse. The woman confronts the man, slapping him while recording the incident.
