Bihar seven-year-old girl dies after government primary school staircase collapses

A seven-year-old girl died and three other students were injured on Wednesday after a staircase of a government primary school collapsed in Bihar's Khagaria district, officials said.

The incident took place around 10 am. The deceased has been identified as Ritika Kumari, a Std I student.

The injured students have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital. A compensation amount of Rs 4 lakh has been provided to the kin of the deceased.
