A fire broke out on the second floor of the Ministry of Education office located within the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) campus in Delhi's ITO area on Monday morning, officials said, reported the PTI.
No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
According to officials, the Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call about the incident at around 9:37 am. In response, eight fire engines were immediately dispatched to the site to tackle the blaze, as per the PTI.
Firefighters began operations to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building.
The officials said the exact cause of the fire has not yet been established and it will be investigated once the situation was fully under control.

In a separate incident, a major fire broke out at a residential building in Indira Vihar, located in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar area, on Sunday night, reported the IANS.
The Delhi Fire Service received an alert at around 10:30 pm, following which nearly six fire engines were rushed to the spot.
The firefighters who reached the spot following the incident managed to bring the blaze under control, and no casualties were reported. The situation was later brought fully under control.
Officials said that the fire reportedly started among household items before rapidly spreading through the entire three-storey building, damaging parts of the building.
According to the IANS, the residents of the building told the authorities that an air conditioning unit at the house had been repaired shortly before the incident, leading to speculation about a possible AC-related malfunction. However, officials have not confirmed the cause.
Police from Mukherjee Nagar Police Station have launched an investigation to determine the exact reason behind the fire.
