Three people died when their speeding car rammed into the rear of a truck on the Yamuna Bridge connecting Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, police said on Sunday.
The accident occurred around 10.30 pm on Saturday when a Hyundai Creta car headed to Uttarakhand collided with the truck ahead of it.
The bodies were extricated with difficulty by the police and some locals and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared all three dead.
The deceased have been identified as Tarsem Singh, 32, a resident of Himachal; Amit Kumar, 37, a resident of UP; and Sonu, 30, a resident of Greater Noida.
