The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may register its ‘protest’ over Haroon Lorgat’s presence at the presentation ceremony in the Durban Test which the hosts won by 10 wickets yesterday


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may register its ‘protest' over Haroon Lorgat's presence at the presentation ceremony in the Durban Test which the hosts won by 10 wickets yesterday.

Lorgat, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket South Africa, along with Shaikh Moosa, a marketing official from Sunfoil, the sponsors of the series was present on the dais at the presentation.

"Yes, it has been brought to our notice and we shall write a letter to the CSA and seek their explanation," Sanjay Patel, the BCCI secretary said. According to Jesse Chellan, the CEO of Sunfoil Durban, the host of the Test match, Lorgat has been attending matches at all venues. It is learnt that an understanding was reached between the two boards - CSA and BCCI - that Lorgat would be kept out of all affairs involving the series between the two countries.
