Jalandhar-born former Punjab Ranji Trophy team captain and ex-India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is now a complete Mumbaikar. Harbhajan, now a commentator, who has settled in Mumbai since the last few years, wants his five-year-old son Jovan Veer Singh Plaha to play for Mumbai in future.

"I have played for Mumbai Indians for 10 years. I have been living here since then. He [son] has been studying here, he was born here, so, it is right that he will play for Mumbai," Harbhajan said when Mumbai Cricket Association's president Ajinkya Naik asked him if your son plays, will he register with the Mumbai Cricket Association or Punjab Cricket Association?

Both Harbhajan and Naik shared the dais with former Test cricketer Yajurvindra Singh at the said at the Legends Club event, organised to celebrate batting icon Sachin Tendulkar's 53rd birthday at CCI on Friday.

"Whether he [son] will play or not, it's his wish. I won't push him. If he wants to play cricket, I will definitely send him to you [Naik] and wherever MCA have maidans, and as per your guidance, I'll send him there," added Harbhajan.
