Gill ought to have made cut: Patil

Former chairman of the national selection committee, Sandeep Patil reckoned that the T20 World Cup team ought to have included Shubman Gill instead of left-spinner Axar Patel.

"Too many spinners," Patil exclaimed about the inclusion of four tweakers - Jadeja, Kuldeep, Chahal and Axar. "I would have had Axar in the reserves and Gill in the actual squad. There will not be a good batsman in the reserves in this current scenario now," said Patil, whose committee picked teams for the 2014 and 2016 T20 World Cups.
