As Team India concluded the three-match ODI and five-match T20I series against Australia, the side will now gear up to lock horns with South Africa.
The "Men in Blue" will begin the series against the Proteas with two Test matches.
The first Test match between India and South Africa has been scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 14. The second game will be played from November 22 at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati.

Shubman Gill will continue to lead the Indian pack in the longest format series against the South Africans. Rishabh Pant has been named as his deputy. The series will mark the third Test contest for Gill since becoming the captain of the Indian side in the traditional format.
Pant will be making his first international appearance since the conclusion of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England.
After the two-match Test series, both teams will engage in three-match ODIs and five T20Is. The 50-over format will yet again see Team India stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back into action. The duo has drawn curtains on their T20Is and Test careers.
The shortest format series will serve as a crucial contest for both teams in the build-up to the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shortlisted Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai as the venues for the upcoming global showpiece.
The first ODI match will be played on November 30 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. Later, both teams will be in action for the T20I series, with the first game scheduled to be played on December 9 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
