Mumbai Indians posted their second win in four days by defeating defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad by four wickets at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday. Set to score 159 for a win, Mumbai Indians reached their target with eight balls to spare.

Nitish Rana was again the top-scorer with 45 from 36 balls with three fours and two sixes. Opener Parthiv Patel scored 39 at the top of the order while Krunal Pandya contributed 37.

Earlier, riding on David Warner (49) and Shikhar Dhawan's (48) 81-run opening stand, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 158 for eight after they were put into bat. However, one-drop batsman Deepak Hooda (9) and Yuvraj Singh (5) failed to maintain that momentum. Ben Cutting, who came at No.5, was the only other batsman who made it to double figure hitting four boundaries in his 20 off 10 deliveries.

Hyderabad skipper Warner took off from where he left off against Gujarat Lions in their previous match when he hit an unbeaten 76 from just 45 balls with six fours and four sixes.

Warner started hitting two consecutive boundaries off veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh's first two deliveries. He lofted the first one towards cover and then played an inside-out stroke over extra-cover for another boundary.

Warner welcomed the off-spinner to the attack again in the 11th over with a reverse sweep, hit over third man for a six. However, he failed to keep the next reverse sweep down and wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel covered some distance before taking a spectacular catch to dismiss the Hyderabad captain.
