Focus will be on the expensive buys this season as the 10th edition of the lucrative Indian Premier League gets underway in Hyderabad tomorrow

Ben Stokes (Rising Pune Supergiant): Rs 14.5 crore
Ben Stokes has firmly established himself as one of the best all-rounders. The 25-year-old will be itching to prove his worth with both bat and ball at Rising Pune Supergiant having scored 192 runs at a strike rate of 136.17 and claimed 10 wickets in 21 T20Is for England.

Tymal Mills (Royal Challengers Bangalore): Rs 12 crore
Royal Challengers Bangalore will expect the season's second biggest buy - Tymal Mills to deliver the goods in the absence of Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc. The left-arm pacer has just played four T20Is for England. The 24-year-old claimed seven wickets in five games in this year's Pakistan Super League.

Kagiso Rabada (Delhi Daredevils): Rs 5 crore
Daredevils will be hoping South African paceman Kagiso Rabada's fine form guides them to a maiden IPL title. The 21-year-old, who regularly bowls at 140-150 kmph has claimed eight wickets each in the recently-concluded ODI and Test series in New Zealand.

Trent Boult (Kolkata Knight Riders): Rs 5 crore
Kolkata Knight Riders will not want Trent Boult's recent groin injury, that ruled him out of the second and third Test vs South Africa, affect him in the IPL. The NZ pacer will be under pressure after going for 39 in his only match for Sunrisers in 2016.

Pat Cummins (Delhi Daredevils): Rs 4.5 crore
The 23-year-old was rewarded with an Australia Test call-up after six years, days after being picked up by Delhi Daredevils. The right-arm pacer didn't disappoint, by picking up eight wickets in two games in the Test series vs India.
