Prithvi Shaw announce splits with fiancee Akriti Agarwal

India batter Prithvi Shaw, 26, and fiancée Akriti Agarwal, 23, called off their engagement on Thursday, with the latter saying they mutually agreed to part ways ‘due to different goals for our future.'

Sharing the news of their separation through her Instagram account, Akriti, who is a social media influencer and actor, wrote: "With a heavy heart, I would like to share that my fiancé and I have decided to part ways due to different goals and circumstances for our future. As much as we love and care for each other, we've come to accept that our paths are not meant to be together. I wish nothing but the best for both of us as we move forward."

Shaw and Agarwal got engaged in March this year, but their relationship came under scrutiny when the latter Instagrammed a cryptic message in July that many interpreted as her accusing the batter of cheating. However, she later clarified that it was not the case.
