India's 2024 T20 World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma is confident about Team India's future and reckons there's no stopping their winning momentum.

Rohit lavished praise on the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian T20 World Cup-winning team's performance.

"I'm very happy and very proud to see what we have been witnessing for the last couple of years now. To come out with flying colours and achieve what we have achieved, not just the men's team, but also the women's team winning that World Cup in Mumbai was fantastic to watch. Recently, the men's team, what they did was phenomenal. This is just the start, there is no looking back from here because once you get that momentum… we often talk about momentum and now both the men's and women's teams have that momentum. I hope we carry this momentum forward," Rohit said at the launch of Mumbai Cricket Association's T20 Mumbai League's fourth season at a city hotel on Saturday.

He was also referring to the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's team's maiden triumph in the Women's ODI World Cup.

Meanwhile, Rohit, who is the face of T20 Mumbai League [TML] wants city cricketers to be ready for new challenges and to grab the opportunities in the upcoming TML-4, which begins on June 1.

"You never know what's going to happen, so whenever the opportunity arises, you should be ready for the challenges. I still believe in the process of preparing really well and being ready for the opportunity," Rohit said.

MCA will also provide an opportunity for women cricketers with the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League and Rohit reckoned it's a "great move".
