Kohli achieved the feat during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s clash against Kolkata Knight Riders, smashing an unbeaten 105 off 60 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 175.

The century marked Kohli’s third IPL hundred while chasing, helping him draw level with Buttler in the record books.

In IPL run chases, Kohli has scored 4,285 runs in 138 matches at an average of 42.42 and a strike rate of 136.42, including three centuries and 29 half-centuries. His highest score remains 108*.

During successful IPL chases, the former RCB skipper has amassed 2,784 runs in 76 matches at an impressive average of 63.27 and a strike rate of 142.69, with three centuries and 20 fifties.

Kohli has also equalled Rohit Sharma for the most ‘Player of the Match’ awards by an Indian player in IPL history, with 21 honours each.
