Sabre FC clinched the inaugural Unity Freedom Cup 2025 football tournament held in Thane recently.

The eight-team competition saw around 80 players being shortlisted from a bunch of 145, who assembled from different parishes across Thane.

In the summit clash, Sabre FC got the better of David & Goaliath FC 2-1 via tie-breaker after the score read 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Alistair Fernandes emerged the tournament's highest scorer while Trishank Parlekar was named best goalkeeper and Brandon Allen was adjudged best player.
