Scottish lads beat St Mary’s 3-2 to enter semis

Bombay Scottish (Mahim) beat St Mary's School ICSE (Mazgaon) 3-2 via tie-breaker in a thrilling boys U-10 Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school football Knockout Super Cup quarter-final at Azad Maidan on Friday.

With neither side able to break the deadlock in regulation time, the game was eventually decided through a penalty shootout, wherein Jeyshad Dey, Viraj Pagad and Hrihaan Jain scored for Bombay Scottish, while Garv Manas and Nivaan Sohal missed their attempts.

For St Mary's, Zach Henriques and Zayden Fernandes converted from the spot, while Aarish Dharia and Luvya Jain failed to score.

The final penalty kick for St Mary's, taken by Rivaan Dalla, was saved by Bombay Scottish custodian Hrihaan, after he replaced regular goalkeeper Kabir Vora for the decisive spot-kick, thus helping his side progress.
