Brazil won the duel against Mauritius duo of Natacha Rigobert and Elodie Li Yuk Lo 2-0, Xinhua reports. Franca said morning reports of heavy traffic had left the players worried they would not arrive in time for the match at Horse Guards Parade.

"The traffic was intense, so we decided the subway was the best option," Franca told Brazil's Terra. "We were discreet, listened to music and chatted amongst ourselves. I don't think anyone realised who we were." Franca said the team had returned to the Olympic village in a car chartered by the Brazilian delegation.
