Fifer for Musheer Khan in Kanga League

Not long after becoming the youngest cricketer to play in the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League, eight-year-old Musheer Khan claimed five wickets in an innings on the third day of the revamped tournament which began earlier this month.


The left-arm spinner, who recently had a session with spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi, claimed five for 78 in 18 overs for Sportsfield Cricket Club against Catholic Gymkhana at Shivaji Park yesterday.

Catholic Gymkhana amassed 186 for nine declared in 49.5 overs in the 'G' division.u00a0Imran Baig (50 not out) and Amar Kulkarni (42) were the top scorers.

In reply, Sportsfield Cricket Club were tottering at 81 for seven in 46 overs at close of play in a drawn fixture. Musheer faced 50 balls for his two runs before he was clean bowled by Dhaval Savalia.
