India beat South Africa 7-4 in their second Pool A match of the Champions Challenge here yesterday.


India beat South Africa 7-4 in their second Pool A match of the Champions Challenge here yesterday. Braces from Drag-flick specialist Sandeep Singh (14th, 35th) and striker SV Sunil (55th, 66th) and strikes from Saravanjit Singh (29th), Tushar Khandekar (41st) and Rupinder Pal Singh (65th) ensured ran away with a deserved victory.

Justin Reid-Ross (sixth minute), Marvin Harper (38th), Miguel de Garcia (46th) and Tim Drummond (48th) were on target for South Africa. The victory gave India four points from two matches, the same as Belgium, who drew 3-3 with India earlier and beat Poland 7-3 yesterday.
