It was a fashion-packed December 31 for many badminton players. The shuttlers faced the camera with as much ease they do to their opponent's strokes, at the opening ceremony of the Premier Badminton League (PBL) in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Badminton Association of India (BAI) president Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta and his wife Alka walked the ramp. As did national chief coach P Gopichand and many well known stars like Chennai Smashers and Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu, Rio Games gold medallist and Hyderabad Hunters' Carolina Marin and Awadhe Warriors' K Srikanth.
