Ahmedabad: Thailand notched up a comfortable 53-21 win over Kenya in a group match of the Kabaddi World Cup, here yesterday. Thailand captain Khomsan Thongkham led from the front and scored 14 points to lead his team to the impressive win.

In another match, Republic of Korea mounted a brilliant comeback to beat Bangladesh 35-32. Jang Kun Lee scored 15 points to lead his team to a third successive victory. There were several times when Republic of Korea looked down and out but refused to give up
