State shines at Indore pickleball Nationals

Maharashtra came up with a splendid performance at the pickleball Nationals held earlier this month at Indore. The state claimed seven gold medals, six silver and five bronze medals.

The gold medal winners are Manish Rao and Sachin Mandrekar (men's doubles 50+), Sunil Joshi and Rao (men's doubles 40+), Joshi and Vishal Chugh (men's doubles 35+), Mandrekar and Bela Kotwani (mixed doubles 35+), Shaks Devnani (women's singles 35+), Vanshik Kapadia and Sujay Mehta Parekh (mixed doubles open) and Ronav Motiani (boys singles U-19).

Meanwhile, Ashok Mohanani and Ramesh Masurkar (men's doubles 60+), Suresh Bhansali and Masurkar (men's doubles 50+), Devnani and Kotwani (women's doubles 35+), Simran Bangera (women's singles 35+), Ritesh Jaiswal and Tushar Singh (boys doubles U-19) and the duo of Anush Popli and Stavya Bhasin (boys doubles U-16) settled for silver medals.

Pickleball is garnering tremendous attention in India and worldwide, with 450 participants across 18 states.
