Bone tests conducted on players from Al Barkat school following a recent protest from former India all-rounder Sanjay Bangar have resulted in favour of the players
Bangar lodged a protest to the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) as well as the Mumbai Cricket Association after his 12-year-old son Aryan was injured while representing Don Bosco (Matunga) in a Giles Shield Elite Division tie at Cross Maidan.
“We officially opened the bone test results of the five Al Barkat players. None of them was found overage,” said HS Bhor, the MSSA cricket secretary. Bangar was unavailable when MiD DAY called him for a reaction.

Parents of the Don Bosco kids were not convinced. “We will look to review the reports,” said a parent, who also threatened to take the legal route if the over-age problem was not tackled by the authorities. Meanwhile, Al Barkat coach Nafees Khan said: “We had done no wrong. As the results are in our favour, nobody can point fingers at us now.”u00a0
