India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar yesterday tied the knot with fiancée Nupur at a private ceremony in Meerut. The fast bowler has taken time off from the ongoing India v Sri Lanka Test series for the marriage. A few months ago, Bhuvi had posted a picture along with Nupur on social media announcing that they would be getting married soon.

Bhuvi and Nupur hail from the same region in Meerut and their families know each other very well. The cricketer went to the bride's home on horseback, as is the tradition, with his family and friends doing the bhangra in the backdrop.

The couple have reportedly planned a reception party in New Delhi on December 5. It is learnt that the reception date was picked keeping in mind the fact that Team India will be playing the third and final Test against the Lankans in Delhi from December 2-6.
