Adds the friend, “He had been unwell for a while and was then diagnosed with blood infection.”
Meanwhile, Nikhil who is directing the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 film Hero starring debutants Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi will roll the project in February. It was slated to start last month, but as he was reworking on the script to add more action, the shoot was pushed back.
Also, according to the buzz Vinod Khanna, who was to play Athiya’s father in the film, is no longer part of the project.
Subhash Ghai says, “We did have Vinod Khanna in mind, but he is not keeping well so we might have to opt for someone else.”
