After Sachin Tendulkar and Steve Jobs, it’s Ratan Tata’s turn to be rechristened in Rubik’s Cubes as students from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Matunga are set to unveil their latest masterpiece, a portrait of the businessman prepared using Rubik’s Cubes.
Around 25-30 students from the institute have put together a special event where they will not only display automated robots and various other technological innovations that are going to be a part of their annual technology fest, Technovanza 2013, but also invite visitors to participate in different challenges based around these robots.

A major highlight of the show is the more advanced, and technologically superior Robot Snooker, which visitors would get a chance to play with at the venue. Each participant will get a robot, which they have to guide around on a pool table instead of a cue stick.
The event will begin around noon, and continue till 8 pm, with VJTI students assisting the commoners, and encouraging them to participate in various events. Taking part for the first time are the robot puppets, which follow hand gestures. Visitors can participate in games like robot race using these robot puppets, guiding them to the finish line using hand gestures and perform tasks like pushing a ball into a basket through hand gestures.
