Another restaurant that has followed suit is Worli’s Two One Two Bar & Grill that will be launching a new menu, next month.
Chef Mikhail Shahani shares, “For nine months of the year, our business comes from vegetarians. The rest of the year, we have NRIs asking for meat-based dishes. With the new menu, I want to concentrate on offering more vegetarian options.”
The looks of the Consommé of Chicken might be deceptive. This simple-looking, clear soup actually takes eight hours to cook and is one of the healthiest, low calorie dishes on their menu.
However, that does not mean that it’s a goodbye to meat lovers, as several star dishes from the new menu — that spans Italian and Mediterranean food — include a variety of non-vegetarian preparations.

And one of chef’s favourite new offerings are The Stuffed Gourmet Burgers (starting Rs 890). It comes with two patty options: tenderloin and spicy lamb mince. And stuffed between two of your selected patties is your choice of ingredients such as emmental, wild mushrooms, truffles and more. These burgers come with truffle fries, charred tomatoes, and buffalo milk mozzarella cheese salad with greens on the side.

The restaurant has retained 14 of its signature dishes from the previous menu. Another must-try is the Salted Caramel Tart ('375) which is a wonderful mix of crisp and gooey, and salt and sugar; thanks to a pastry crust, chocolate mousse filling, a caramel centre and a dusting of salt. Enter food paradise by ogling at the pictures of some of the dishes that we loved.
