Ranveer Singh broke into tears in the morning, did yoga with Baba Ramdev in the evening while in Delhi yesterday promoting his film 'Befikre'

The usually flamboyant Ranveer Singh, who walks around with a devil-may-care attitude, left the Delhi media stumped at a press conference yesterday. The actor was reading out a heartfelt note from his mentor Aditya Chopra about his part in his next, 'Befikre', when he got emotional and broke down.

An onlooker tells us, "Adi has always let his work do the talking and has communicated with people through his series of blogs on why he has chosen to make a light-hearted, impulsive romance ['Befikre']. In his second post, he has mentioned that even before he chose to direct the film, he had written the story with Ranveer in mind. When Ranveer read that aloud on stage, he was so taken aback that he choked. His voice cracked and he welled up."
We hear a garrulous Ranveer couldn't take any further questions at the press conference and remained silent for a long time. He regained composure when fans kept calling out his name with requests to show off his dance moves and art of mimicry.
Post event, Ranveer excused himself and stuck to a corner, not speaking to his team. He kept requesting for tissues as he fought back tears. People present there noticed that he kept sipping on water, trying to calm down.
When we reached out to Ranveer, he said, "Nothing has meant more to me [than the letter] — not box office success, or praise, or even awards. I am overwhelmed. It's difficult to describe what I am feeling."
