The filmmaker has extended an invitation to the heroes of the Mumbai attacks for the first look of his movie at Nehru auditorium today
A day after news broke that Ajmal Qasab — the lone surviving terrorist behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks — had been hanged and buried at Yerawada jail in Pune, filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma is releasing the first look of his film depicting the events of that tragic day today.
Verma’s movie titled The Attacks of 26/11 has been in the news since its infancy and the director has been creating one controversy after another ever since he was spotted with former Maharashtra CM, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, at the various sites of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks to requesting permission to shoot parts of the movie at CST station.

Speaking about the first look of his movie, which will take place at the Nehru auditorium today at 6 pm, Verma said that he had extended an invitation to all the real heroes of that day and wanted to honour them for the exemplary courage they displayed.
“Yes, I have invited the policemen in the attack and the immediate survivors for the first look of the movie that is to release in 2013,” RGV said, adding that the intent of making this film was that he felt that the entire world needed to know the truth behind the events that unfolded on that fateful night.
The film is not yet completed and Verma still needs to
shoot a few scenes, including the shooting at CST station.
However, it appears that might not be possible, as the railway authorities have denied permission to RGV to shoot his movie there. Senior railway authorities had rejected his proposal saying that it was a sensitive issue.
“We won’t permit him to recreate the incidents of 26/11. A proposal has been sent to the railway board and its decision will be final,” Subodh Jain, general manager, Central Railways, had said.
A RPF staff who didn’t wished to be quoted and who received an invitation from Verma said that he will willing to go but had to take permission from his seniors for this.u00a0
