Berlin: Father-to-be Robert Lewandowski is reportedly set to extend his Bayern Munich contract having used his goal celebration to announce that his wife is pregnant.
The 28-year-old Poland star has a Bayern contract until June 2019, but the Bavarian giants are eager to hold onto their prized striker. He netted his 24th goal for club and country this season with a superb first-half free-kick in Bayern's 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday with both teams already in the Champions League last 16.
"It was always my dream to announce out on the pitch that my wife is pregnant," said Lewandowski. His wife Anna is five months pregnant with their first child. "The goal was for her and the baby in her belly. We are very happy."
