Outdoor fitness has become an important part of my life. I go for a run every day at the Andheri Sports Complex.

It is less of a sporting arena and more of a television show concert hall. Though it is rented out almost two-thirds of the month for non-sporting events that bring in lots of revenue, nothing is done for its upkeep.



Children and adults alike end up running amid trash, nails, and filth; swimming in a pool filled with fungus; learning games on dilapidated courts; and, playing cricket in a crumbling stadium.

And this is just the state of a single sporting complex in a bustling metro. Imagine the hundreds across the nation!
