Junior national champion Rituparna Das stunned World No 64 and second seed at the Tata Open India International Challenge here Tanvi Lad 21-16, 21-11 to enter the quarter-finals of the women's singles at the CCI's badminton courts yesterday.

Eighteen-year-old Das shocked Lad, the 2013 runner-up of the Swiss International Challenge, in just 36 minutes with some fine net play and quick, short rallies. Both Das and Lad train at the Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad.
