The Cakes & Bakes workshop at Godrej Nature's Basket is just the thing the doctor ordered. Pick up some quick dinner recipes that could turn your festive dinner splendid.
"I will show you how to bake Phyllo Pastry Bakes (with layers of Phyllo Pastry and Feta, Greek cheese and egg), Lasagna(with alternate filling of vegetable or meat with pastas) and many other dishes that don't require ardous hours in the kitchen," promises Rushina Munshaw Ghidiyal, the Food and Beverage Consultant at Nature's Basket.
Lessons on dishes like Fresh Berry with White Chocolate Muffin, dried fruit and loaf and orange and rosemary palmiers are also available.
This is the first workshop conducted by the gourmet chain in the city which opened doors to Bangaloreans two months ago. A second workshop will be conducted in December by food consultant Kissi Arora who teach the art of dessert making and cakes.
The workshop will offer a wide range of documented recipes and baking ingredients used in Italian, Chinese, Greek, and French cuisines.
"I will share recipes the way I do with employees of the chain. Often people don't understand what to do with pizzas crumbles and leftovers of lasagnas.
Even those can be used with salads," says Rushina, who started her career in the industry as a food writer, eight years ago and hasn't undergone any formal culinary training. Russhina started working with Nature's Basket three years ago and runs a food consultancy of her own, A Perfect Bite, in Mumbai.
