Actor Sachin Sharma knows how to mix business with fun. In February, the actor had gone to Los Angeles to direct a US-based reality show. He ended up extending his stay by almost two-and-a-half months to club a vacation! "After all, LA is the motherland of the entertainment industry, so I had to stay back for a vacation to explore the city myself," says Sachin. He shares his travelogue with CS:

Visual treat
Actually, my cousin stays in LA and this was the best opportunity to spend some time with him and see the city. I visited every single studio in LAu00a0-- Universal, Sony and Warner Brothers to name a few.In one of the studios, there was a huge display of 300, one of my favourite films. It was just breathtaking to see all the costumes, shields, etc up-close.

Friendly face
LA is a multi-cultural city. You will find people from all over the world coming here to try their luck in Hollywood. So it was a real experience to see Mexican, American, Korean, Jamaican and Indian cultures blending together. And I loved the fact that though there was cultural diversity, people were still very helpful and shared the same mindset. Not even once did I feel that there was any communication gap. People were so friendly that they'd greet you, in spite of you being a perfect stranger to them.

Fun fare
I experimented with different types of cuisines. To start with, I had Mexican food, which is a little spicy like our Indian fare. Jamaican cuisine is very fattening as everything is fried, so I had to keep counting my calories. But I have to mention that the pizzas here were simply delicious. They were huge; one pizza is big enough to take care of 10 people. But don't ever calculate the conversion rate of a dollar to a rupee, because then you'll never be able to enjoy your meal.

In Kobe's bay
I went to watch the LA Lakers basketball match at Staple Centre. It was a dream come true to watch Kobe Bryant live, as I've been a big fan of his since childhood. He is nothing less than Sachin Tendulkar in America. This one match made my trip more than fruitful!u00a0
