Over the weekend, Salman Khan landed himself in a controversy for an interview given to a Pakistani channel in which the star claimed that "too much hype" was created around the 26/11 attack as "elite people" were targetted and that the Pakistani government was not behind it.
Salman Khan has done it. He has proved himself to be the big boss of the box-office. The opening of his film Dabangg has broken the first-weekend collections of 3 Idiots and will soon break the Ghajini record.
Several single screen theatres opened to 100 per cent collections on Day One. Filmmakers from the South are now trying to acquire the rights and are willing to pay megabucks for it.
Sallu clears air on 26/11 statement
His statements have created a furore.

But Salman clarifies, "I gave an interview about three weeks ago. Now during the festive time of Eid and Ganeshotsav, it has been twisted around. Just saw it myself the way it is coming across on TV.
It is sounding insensitive. I was just saying that all are equal. Garib aadmi ho ameer aadmi ho it is the same. Some attacks might get more media coverage than the others.
Why is that? I think every human life is as important. Any act of terrorism, anywhere in the world is unpardonable. A terrorist has no nationality, no religion and no guts.

I've always had and always will have faith in our intelligence agencies. I've always had faith in our armed forces and police forces.

I did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments and if I have hurt anybody's sentiments, I am really, really sorry."
