Cooking and me ufffd
I'm a die-hard foodie, but I'm not too fond of cooking and I rarely cook. Although, I'm not absolutely useless in the kitchen either, I must admit, I'm quite intimidated by it (laughs). I have friends who are really great cooks and I've heard from them that cooking, especially baking, is very therapeutic.
My speciality ufffd
I can whip up a decent baked fish dish that can be served with brown rice. Basically, it is a very fast-to-cook recipe and hence is in constant demand.
Must in my kitchen...
Hmmm ufffdu00a0 spices and condiments for sure. For me the aroma of food is like the make-or-break first impression. The more aromatic the food, the more likely I am going to dig into it.
Cooking tips...
Ah! Here I would like to quote my favourite celebrity chef Nigella Lawson: "Cooking is about harmony and balance." I believe that if you cook from your heart, the love will flow straight through your fingers into the food!
I have a weakness for...
Chinese cuisine. I love the classic chilly chicken, fried rice and dimsums. Can't have enough of them.
Fav hangouts
In Mumbai, I frequent Royal China and Cafe Indigo. When I'm in Kolkata I just have to visit Chinatown and this place called Taaza that serves amazing baked crab and paella.
