For the unversed, the couple, who married in 1987, had kept their relationship under wraps for a while until after the birth of their first daughter, Tina. Sharing the story, Sunita revealed that her second daughter was born prematurely and struggled with severe health complications after birth. “When my second daughter was born, she was born prematurely. She was in my arms for three months, but her lungs didn’t develop properly. One night, she couldn’t breathe, and she passed away in my arms. That was extremely difficult for me. I could have had two daughters and a son today,” she recalled. Sunita went on to share that the events leading up to the premature delivery had a stark contrast to her first, smooth pregnancy. She also admitted she was unaware of the risks and as a result, exerted herself unknowingly during frequent travel with Govinda while carrying the second baby. Earlier in a 2024 interview, Sunita had spoken about her second daughter, saying, “She was born at eight months, but we lost her after three months. I was travelling too much with Govinda. I didn’t know that I shouldn’t have done heavy lifting. I carried heavy chocolate bags from Singapore, and my water burst when I reached Mumbai." Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra's plea to travel to London rejected by Bombay HC

On Wednesday, the Bombay High Court directed actor Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra to deposit Rs 60 crore or provide a bank guarantee while hearing their plea seeking temporary relief from a Look-Out Circular (LOC) issued against them. The LOC was issued as the couple is at the centre of an ongoing investigation into a Rs 60 crore fraud case. They sought temporary relief to travel to London. Shilpa and Raj directed to deposit Rs 60 crore The plea was being heard by a bench of Justices A.S. Gadkari and R.R. Bhonsale. In their application, the couple cited the urgent need to visit Kundra’s father, who is undergoing medical treatment in London. Their plea stressed that the trip was solely for family medical reasons, stating, “This is not a leisure trip, and the applicants undertake that they will only visit Kundra’s father and return to India as scheduled, if permitted.” In October this year, Raj and Shilpa had appealed to the Bombay High Court to suspend the LOC so they could travel abroad for work and leisure. At the time, the bench said it would consider the plea only if they deposited Rs 60 crore- the amount involved in the cheating case. About the complaint against Shilpa and Raj A case was registered against Shetty and Kundra at Juhu Police Station on August 14 for allegedly duping businessman Deepak Kothari (60) of nearly Rs 60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal. Kothari alleged that between 2015 and 2023, they convinced him to invest Rs 60 crore in their company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, but the money was used for their personal benefit. The couple's legal team has dismissed the allegations, stating the matter is purely civil in nature and had already been adjudicated by NCLT Mumbai in October 2024. “This is an old transaction involving a company that went into financial distress and was entangled in a long legal battle at the NCLT,” the statement read, according to the reports. The lawyers also claimed that there was no criminal intent involved and all cash flow statements and supporting documents had been submitted to the EOW as required. Shetty reportedly told Mumbai Police that she did not look into the affairs of the company she co-founded with Raj Kundra. Her statement was recorded by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on October 4, during a session lasting more than four hours at her residence.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai

Abhishek Bachchan slams 'malicious' divorce rumours with Aishwarya Rai

In the past few years, multiple rumours have been circulating about troubles in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's marriage, with many reports claiming that the couple could be headed for divorce. However, although the couple has rarely addressed the rumours, they have, time and again, debunked the rumours by being spotted together. Recently, Abhishek addressed the divorce rumours and called it 'malicious and incorrect'. Abhishek Bachchan addresses divorce rumours While talking to Peeping Moon, Abhishek shared, "If you are a celebrity, people are going to conjecture about everything. Any rubbish they (media) have written is completely false. Not based on any fact whatsoever, malicious and incorrect." "They have been doing this before we got married. First, they were deciding when we are getting married, then once we got married, then they are going to decide when we will get divorced. This is all rubbish. She knows my truth, I know her truth. We go back to a happy and healthy family, which is most important, and that's all that matters," he further added. He was asked if these rumours affect him, to which said, "No, because if there was any truth to it, it would, but it doesn't." The I Want To Talk actor further said, "I will not tolerate any falsehood, manufactured rubbish about me or my family." Notably, earlier, Abhishek had revealed that his daughter Aaradhya is completely unaware of the rumours floating around about her parents. Abhishek Bachchan reacts to buying Best Actor award Meanwhile, during the same interview, Abhishek addressed another rumour that has been doing the rounds regarding his recent Best Actor win. For the unversed, the actor, after 25 years in the industry, finally received the coveted honour, but the celebration was surrounded by claims that he had “bought" the award. Reflecting on the backlash, Abhishek said, “Anyone can have an opinion, and today everyone has a platform to express it—that’s fine. My job as an actor is to listen to the audience and improve my work." However, the actor drew a clear line between opinion and defamation, saying, “But if you are a journalist accusing me of buying an award or doing active PR, that is wrong. You have responsibilities toward the people who read you." Abhishek went on to address the rumour head-on, calling it both illogical and insulting. He said, “If I could buy an award, I would have bought it 25 years ago. Truly. I’ve been nominated 3–4 times, why wouldn’t I have bought it then?"

Fifty years after its first release, the team is all set to present the uncut version on the big screen. Can’t wait to witness Sholay in all its glory on the big screen. I have NEVER seen Sholay on the big screen only on TV and VHS/DVD. It’s been a lifelong dream.”           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Abhishek Bachchan (@bachchan) How is The Final Cut different from Sholay For the uninitiated, Sholay is set to return to theatres as Sholay – The Final Cut, now including the original climax and two previously deleted scenes. This special re-release commemorates the 50th anniversary of Ramesh Sippy’s masterpiece, which is widely celebrated as one of Indian cinema’s most influential films. The restoration holds historic significance, as the original climax—shot by Sippy but removed before the film’s initial release during the Emergency—was banned by the Central Board of Film Certification for its violent content. This much-discussed sequence, never shown publicly, depicts Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar) killing Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) with spiked shoes. The Film Heritage Foundation has meticulously restored the movie in 4K.  Earlier in 2025, Sholay was showcased at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The premiere of the restored 4K version saw the presence of Ramesh Sippy and actor Bobby Deol, among others. (with inputs from IANS)

On Thursday, the actress took to her Instagram, and shared a series of throwback videos in which one could see the effortless camaraderie between the couple. She wrote, “My dearest Yousuf Saab, Every year, when this day returns, it brings with it a gentle stirring in my heart… a mourn of all the seasons I have watched you live, not merely as an artist for the world, but as the finest human being I have ever known. People often speak of you as an institution, a phenomenon, a genius beyond comparison and they are right”. “But I have seen the quieter miracles, the way you prepared for every role by breathing in its time, its silence, how you dissolved into the soil of each character until even I, who knew you best, would search for the man behind the performance. Your dedication was always a sacred offering to your art and fans”, she added.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Saira Banu Khan (@sairabanu) Saira Banu recalls wedding night with Dilip Kumar Earlier this year, marking their 59th wedding anniversary, Saira Banu recalled her wedding night with Kumar.  Speaking about her wedding, Saira said: “A wistful drift into one of the most cherished evenings of my life, our wedding night, 59 years ago. The song “Do Sitaron Ka Zameen Par Hai Milan Aaj Ki Raat” floated through the air like a blessing that wouldn’t fade.” She revealed that the song played all night long, “echoing the joy in my heart, and I remember thinking that if someone told me I could truly fly that evening, I would have believed them.” “That’s how unreal, how dreamlike it all felt,” said Saira. Recalling the simplicity of the day, Saira said: “Nothing about that day was extravagant, yet it was perfect in its simplicity. My wedding joda was lovingly stitched by our local tailor; there were no grand designers, no detailed plans, no printed cards, just hurried excitement and heartfelt emotion.” Saira said that the nikaah was meant for November, but destiny had other plans. “I can still hear Sahib’s gentle but firm voice over the telephone from Calcutta saying, “Aap ek Maulvi ko bulaiye aur Nikaah karwa dijiye!” And just like that, the most important day of my life unfolded before I could even blink.” She described the wedding as delightfully chaotic, with Dilip Kumar’s Baraat arriving down the lane, Ghodi's umbrella brushing against his Sehra. Saira wrote, “The wedding itself was full of delightful chaos. Sahib and I lived close by, and when his Baraat came down the lane, the Ghodi descended a small slope, the umbrella brushing against his Sehra, a sight so charming that it still makes me smile. In no time, word spread that Dilip Kumar was getting married, and hundreds of admirers found their way into my home.”

Still from Dhurandhar

All Gulf countries ban Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna

Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar is enjoying a strong run at the box office. Released worldwide on December 5, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Arjun Rampal in prominent roles. Inspired by real events, it follows an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistani gangs to extract information about potential attacks on India. While the film continues its dream run theatrically, it has now been banned across all Gulf countries. Gulf countries ban Dhurandhar According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the film’s narrative led to the ban in the UAE/GCC region. A source told the portal, “Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have not released Dhurandhar. There were apprehensions that this would happen as the film is perceived as an ‘anti-Pakistan film’. In the past, such films have failed to procure a release in this region. The makers still attempted a submission, but none of the countries approved the film’s theme.” This is not the first time an Indian film has been banned in the region. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s 2024 film Fighter was also banned in all Gulf countries. Its depiction of the Pulwama attack sparked criticism in Pakistan, with accusations of promoting an “anti-Pakistan” agenda and “exploiting a sensitive issue.” Although the makers submitted a re-edited version, the UAE ministry still rejected it. Earlier this year, Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and John Abraham’s The Diplomat were banned in several Middle Eastern countries. Article 370 and Tiger 3 also faced similar issues. Bollywood celebrities praise Dhurandhar The film remains unstoppable at the box office, even on weekdays. It collected Rs 24.3 crore on Monday, Rs 28.6 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 29.2 crore on Wednesday. Akshay Kumar praised the film, tweeting, “Watched Dhurandhar and I’m blown away. What a gripping tale, and you’ve simply nailed it, Aditya. We need our stories told in a hard-hitting way, and I’m glad audiences are giving it the love it deserves.” Smriti Irani also appreciated the film, calling Aditya Dhar a “craftsperson par excellence” and applauding performances by Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, and Arjun Rampal. Hrithik Roshan praised the storytelling while acknowledging that he disagreed with the film’s politics. “I may disagree with the politics of it… Nevertheless, I can’t ignore how much I loved and learned from it as a student of cinema,” he wrote.
