A noted veteran Bollywood actress has lodged a police complaint against a businessman, alleging 'stalking and criminal intimidation', a top official said here on Tuesday. The actress and former beauty queen, who was a top-rated name in her heydays in the 1970s and 1980s, filed the complaint on Monday. "The Juhu Police Station is investigating the matter," Mumbai Police spokesperson and Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepak Deoraj told IANS.

The complaint, under IPC sections 304(d) and 509, was lodged against the businessman, Amar Khan, who is reportedly acquainted with the actress since some time. According to preliminary enquiries by the police, there was also a dispute regarding some property matters between them, details of which are not yet known. The actress is said to have had broken off all contacts with Khan since some time after he allegedly continued to pester her on phone, threaten and stalk her. The police is now on the lookout for Khan, who has gone into hiding.
