During the shoot of Befikre, director Aditya Chopra felt that Ranveer Singh was aping Anil Kapoor.

Looking at the monitor on the set, the filmmaker felt he was watching Anil Kapoor. So, Ranveer was clearly told not to imitate his Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) co-star.
Ranveer is a huge fan of Mr Jhakaas and decided to taking up acting after seeing the veteran star's performances. The two are also related; Anil's wife, Sunita, is Ranveer's aunt.
