Reports were rife that Aamir Khan will soon helm a film based on the harrowing Meghalaya murder case. However, the actor has now stated the reports are completely false and expressed confusion over the origin of such speculation. Next up, he is all set to star in Rajinikanth's Coolie

Aamir Khan recently won hearts with his stint in Sitaare Zameer Par. While the actor has not announced his next project, rumours are rife that he will direct a film based on Meghalaya murder case. He has now vehemently denied the claims and confirmed he is not working on the project.

Recently, the Bollywood superstar spoke to Bollywood Hungama, when he clarified that there is no truth to the reports. “There is absolutely no truth to it, “Aamir said and then added, “I honestly don’t know where these stories start."

This comes a day after a report in Times Now claims the actor is working on the project. A source said the portal, “Aamir Khan is closely following the updates on the Meghalaya Murder case. He has personally tracked and discussed with his close circle on the update on the details. There might be a development on the subject from his production too.” 

About Meghalaya Murder case

Sonam and Raja got married on May 11. They left for their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 20 and were reported missing on May 23 from Sohra town in East Khasi Hills district. Raja's decomposed body was found in a deep gorge on June 2, while his wife, earlier believed to be missing, was arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur on June 9. According to the police, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi were allegedly recruited by Sonam's alleged boyfriend, 20-year-old Raj Kushwaha, to execute the murder.

Aamir upcoming movies

On the work front, the actor will be seen making a cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. Recently, the first look poster of actor was released after which he talked about his cameo and said, “I really enjoyed doing it. I am big fan of Rajini sir…huge fan. I have a lot of love and respect for Rajini sir. So, I did not even hear the script. When Lokesh told me that it is a Rajini sir’s movie and that he wanted me to do a cameo, I said, ‘Done. I am doing it. Whatever it is, I am doing it.’"

 

The upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra.
