<p>Sushmita has often spoken about her father's unwavering support throughout her life, particularly during her historic victory at the Miss Universe pageant in 1994.</p>
<p>The actress has shared numerous stories of how her father stood by her every step of the way during her journey to becoming the first Indian woman to win the prestigious title at the age of 18.</p>
<p>Following her success at Miss Universe, Sushmita transitioned into Bollywood, where she made her debut in 1996 with Dastak.</p>
