Actors Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR shared the screen for the first time in War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film was released in theatres on August 14. Despite the hype and anticipation, its box office performance has failed to meet expectations. Negative reviews and poor word of mouth have only worsened the film’s situation. Now, it seems like Hrithik and Jr NTR’s relationship has also taken a hit, just like the film’s box office run. Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Roshan has unfollowed Jr NTR on Instagram after the film’s release.
Hrithik unfollows Jr NTR?
In the days leading up to the release of War 2, Hrithik and Jr NTR were often seen praising each other. However, the recent Instagram activity hints that not all is well between the two stars. Interestingly, the film’s leading lady, Kiara Advani, also does not follow Jr NTR on Instagram. On the other hand, Jr NTR doesn’t follow anyone on the social media platform.
However, it is important to note that there is no confirmation on whether Hrithik and Kiara followed Jr NTR in the first place.
Hrithik currently has 47.9 million followers and follows 422 people. Meanwhile, NTR has 8.1 million followers but does not follow anyone.
Hrithik Roshan lauds Jr NTR
At a promotional event for the film in Hyderabad, Hrithik praised his co-star while addressing the crowd. “Tarak, I have not just observed you, but I have learnt from you,” he said.
Claiming that he sees a lot of himself in NTR, Hrithik added, “We have had very similar journeys for 25 years now, and I think Tarak sees a little bit of himself in me too. It is true when they say that he is a one-take final-take star.”
Revealing what he has picked up from his on-screen rival, Hrithik said, “On set, Tarak, I have not just observed you, but I have learnt from you. I have learnt how to go into a shot 100 percent — not 99.99 percent, not 99.999, but 100 percent. That’s why when he comes out of a shot, there is no judgment left. He will not even check the monitor because he knows he has given everything to it. And I will apply that in my future films. Tarak, thank you for teaching me that.”
