Manoj Bajpayee has been acting in front of the camera for over two decades now and while the actor is celebrated for being one of the best actors of the country, he recently shared that a lot of people have preconceived notions about him, which includes them assuming that he is a “sharabi (alcoholic).” Manoj recently appeared on a podcast on the YouTube channel Bharti TV and said that one of his co-actors walked up to him and said that Manoj is known for having a shot of vodka before every take. Manoj Bajpayee reacts to rumours He thought back to an incident from the sets of Joram and said, "When I was shooting for Joram, one girl came up to me, this was her first film. She said ‘sir, I am really enjoying working with you’.” After which, Manoj thanked her. The woman further asked, “‘Sir, it is very well known about you that you take a shot before every take. I said ‘what shot?’ She said ‘people think it is a vodka shot’.” Manoj expressed his shock and told her “What shot? I don’t even drink hard liquor.” When the woman reminded Manoj that he drinks from a little bottle every few hours, Manoj revealed that it was the bottle for his homeopathic medicne. The woman asked Manoj about the little miniature he drinks from every few hours, Manoj then revealed that the miniature was infact his bottle for homeopathic medicine. “I said ‘are you crazy? This is homeopathic medicine.’ People think I go on the set after having a vodka shot, yeh toh sharabi hai kebabi hai.” Manoj mentioned that people made assumptions about him without asking when they saw him taking drops of homeopathic medicine straight from the bottle, which was required by the medication. He insisted, “I don’t drink hard liquor.” On the work front: 'Bhaiyya Ji' is Manoj's 100th film. The director-actor duo has previously worked together on films like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', Bhagam Bhag', 'Hera Pheri' and 'Garam Masala'. Now, the filmmaker has confirmed that he will be reuniting with Akshay after 14 years. The new film that brings the duo together will be a horror fantasy drama with comedy. Ekta Kapoor will be backing this film. Talking to HT City, Priyadarshan said that he has wrapped the shooting of his documentary series on Ram Mandir and will now shift his focus on the Akshay Kumar film. When asked if it would be anything like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', he said, “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film, to this one, it has always turned out well with him, he handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that.” While the third instalments of his films 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' and 'Hera Pheri' is in the making presently, Priyadarshan has nothing to do with the projects.
