Abhimanyu Singh refutes to reports of theft at his residence worth Rs 1.37 cr

Actor Abhimanyu Singh has denied reports claiming that his Mumbai home was burgled and that valuables worth Rs 1.37 crore were stolen from his residence. The actor clarified that the widely circulated news about a robbery at his house is incorrect, even as police sources earlier indicated that a high-value theft had taken place in the Andheri–Lokhandwala area. Abhimanyu Singh refutes rumours of burglary The confusion arose after reports surfaced about Mumbai Police arresting a 40-year-old man in connection with a major burglary involving jewellery and cash. According to those reports, the accused was allegedly caught following an investigation into a theft worth over Rs 1 crore. However, Abhimanyu has firmly refuted claims linking the incident to his home, stating that no such robbery occurred at his residence. In a video shared online, the actor is seen directly dismissing the burglary reports when questioned by photographers. Without going into further details, he made it clear that the information circulating about his house being targeted was inaccurate. His statement has raised questions about whether the incident involved a different property or whether there was an error in the initial reporting. What had happened Earlier reports suggested that the burglary had taken place during the night of December 29 and 30, with the accused allegedly entering a bungalow through a bathroom window and stealing a safe containing jewellery and cash. Police were said to have recovered valuables worth approximately Rs 1.26 crore after interrogating the suspect, who reportedly has a long criminal history and has been linked to multiple theft cases across Mumbai. Despite these developments, Abhimanyu’s denial has shifted focus to possible misidentification or confusion surrounding the location of the crime. While law enforcement authorities have confirmed an arrest and recovery in connection with a high-value theft, it remains unclear whether the property involved belongs to the actor or someone else in the vicinity. Abhimanyu Singh, known for his work in films like Gulaal and various South Indian projects, has not released an official written statement beyond his verbal clarification. The incident highlights the importance of accurate verification, especially when high-profile names are involved, as premature or incorrect reports can quickly spread misinformation and cause unnecessary concern.

Abhimanyu Singh

Actor Abhimanyu Singh’s Andheri home burglary solved, accused arrested

Mumbai Police have solved the burglary at actor Abhimanyu Singh’s residence in Andheri West, arresting a habitual offender and recovering valuables worth more than Rs 1.26 crore. The actor, known for his performances in films like Gulaal and several South Indian movies, was left shaken after his Mumbai home was targeted in a carefully planned theft late last year. What happened at Abhimanyu Singh's residence? The burglary took place during the night of December 29 and 30, 2025, when the accused allegedly entered Singh’s bungalow while the family was asleep. According to police officials, the thief gained access to the house through a bathroom window, avoiding detection and heading straight for the valuables. The accused managed to steal a household safe containing gold, diamond and silver jewellery along with cash. The total value of the stolen items was estimated to be around Rs 1.37 crore. The crime came to light the next morning when the family noticed the missing safe. A police complaint was subsequently lodged by the actor’s 82-year-old mother, following which the Oshiwara Police registered a case and began an intensive investigation. Given the high value of the stolen property and the lack of immediate leads, the case was treated as a priority. Police teams scanned CCTV footage from nearby areas, conducted technical surveillance and relied on local intelligence to track the suspect’s movements. Their efforts led them to Manoj Mohan Rathod, a 40-year-old man from Palghar district, who had no permanent address and a long criminal history. After close monitoring and a carefully planned operation, the police arrested him on January 3, 2026. Police arrest accused and recover valuables During interrogation, Rathod allegedly confessed to the burglary and revealed where he had hidden the stolen items. Based on his disclosure, the police recovered jewellery worth approximately Rs 1.26 crore, accounting for most of the stolen property. The recovered valuables included gold and diamond ornaments belonging to the actor’s family. Further investigation revealed that Rathod is a serial offender with involvement in at least 14 previous theft cases across Mumbai. Police believe his arrest may help crack several other unsolved burglary cases in the city. The accused remains in police custody as officials continue questioning him and verifying whether he was involved in additional crimes. The successful recovery has brought relief to Abhimanyu Singh’s family, while Mumbai Police have reiterated the importance of home security measures and vigilance, especially in high-profile residential areas.

Aamir Khan and Faissal Khan

Aamir Khan reacts to Faissal Khan's accusations and controversial feud

Actor Faissal Khan said last year that his family had once placed him under house arrest and accused actor and brother Aamir Khan of abusing his influence and authority to undermine him. Aamir has now addressed the dispute, stating that he would not fight with members of his own family. Aamir discussed his ongoing conflict with his brother Faissal Khan, with whom he appeared in the movie Mela alongside Twinkle Khanna, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. On January 7, 2000, Mela was released. Aamir Khan reacts to the feud The actor responded, "Kya karein?," when asked about Faissal's accusations that Aamir had committed numerous crimes, such as unlawful detention and career sabotage. (What should I do?) "I'm destined for that. How can you fight your own family when you can battle the entire world?" Aamir then went on to share about Mela's failure at box office, "I was obviously disappointed by its failure to achieve its potential. Beyond that, I think it’s tough to answer your question. First of all, let me tell you, every film I do means a lot to me. The failure of Mela definitely made a difference to me. It was hard on Faissal, but it was hard on me as well. I’m not comfortable with the idea of any of my films not realising their full potential. The entire team had worked very hard. We were all disappointed." Tensions between Aamir and Faissal surfaced last year when Faissal said that he had cut all connections with the family. He has claimed that when Aamir was still married to his first wife, Reena Dutta, he had an affair with Jessica Hines, a journalist in the UK, and even fathered a child with her. Faissal accused Aamir while talking to Hindustan Times of meticulously creating a public character that, in his opinion, is far different from reality. "He is attempting to project a clean image for the public, but his numerous connections with women and other things reveal his true nature. He likes to present a false impression of himself, he claimed. Faissal Khan's allegations against his family Aamir Khan's family issued a public statement last year in response to Faissal's comments, expressing sadness at what they call "hurtful and misleading" depictions of family members, including Aamir, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain. A part of his statement mentioned, "It is important to share that every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological wellbeing. For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family."

Film body asks PM Modi to help lift ban on Dhurandhar in Gulf countries

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is enjoying a rampant run at the box office. Within just a month of release, it has gone on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, leaving behind the likes of Pushpa 2, Kantara and Animal. Interestingly, this comes despite the Aditya Dhar directorial being banned in six Gulf countries. Now, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has urged PM Narendra Modi to help lift the ban. Film body writes to PM Modi The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) President Abhay Sinha, told India Today that the association has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his intervention to help the film’s release in the Gulf region. “We want them to watch the film and reconsider the ban. The letter has been sent last evening and we are hopeful for a positive outcome. Dhurandhar is one of India’s biggest film and the world should watch it,” Sinha told the portal. In the letter the IMPPA stated that Dhurandhar has been banned in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, despite receiving certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The letter read, "We earnestly appeal to your kind self to intervene regarding the unilateral and uncalled for ban imposed on the film Dhurandhar by the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia." "Our member producer has made this film and has released the same after getting certification by the Central Board of Film Certification and the ban imposed by the above countries is a suppression of the freedom of expression of our member as the film has emerged as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema," it further read. "We therefore humbly request that the Government of India take up this matter with the concerned authorities in these countries and make efforts to ensure that freedom of expression is respected and the ban is revoked at the earliest. We shall be highly obliged to you if you could kindly do the needful at the earliest, as it is a matter of great importance to the country," the association said. Dhurandhar ban Indian films with cross-border or geopolitical themes usually face challenges to release in the Middle East, where the content is highly scrutinised. Dhurandhar has faced similar wrath. The film was banned in  Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The film was banned in the region over objections to its alleged anti-Pakistan messaging.  The film revolves around the covert intelligence operations set against the backdrop of major geopolitical and terror events, such as the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
