Singer Palak Muchhal recently opened up about her close bond with Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana. This comes after her brother and music composer Palash Muchhal annopunced his relationship with the ace cricketer. Meanwhile, Palak also hinted that her brother and the cricketer are planning to tie the knot soon.
Palak Muchhal reveals Smriti Mandhana and Palash's wedding plans
During her recent appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Palak Muchhal shared details about her friendship with Smriti. The singer called it one of the most cherished relationships in her life.
Palak said, “My bond with Smriti Mandhana is, I think, one of the relationships in my life that I truly cherish. She is a wonderful person,” Palak said. She continued, “Hum dono bohot close hain. Hum don't exactly have a sister-like relationship, but I feel truly proud of her — as a person, as a woman, as an artist. She has achieved a lot in very little time, and she is brilliant. Her talent is not a fluke; her talent is strong. She is very good in her field, family-oriented, and she values a lot. She is my best friend.”
Without giving away many details about their wedding plans, Palak hinted that Palash and Smriti will soon tie the knot. In addition to this, Palak also revealed that Smriti is a music lover and that she likes the song Kaun Tujhe.
Palash Muchhal makes it official with Smriti Mandhana
Palash and Smriti have reportedly been dating since 2019. They made their relationship Instagram official in July 2024, marking their fifth anniversary. Recently, Palash confirmed that weddding is on the cards for the couple. Speaking at an event at the State Press Club, he said, "She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore... bas itna hi kehna hai (that's all I want to say)." He added with a grin, "Main ne aapko headline de diya (I've given you the headline)."
Notably, Mandhana is the vice-captain and opening batsman of the Indian women's cricket team, and is currently busy with the ICC Women's World Cup 2025. With Palash, and now Palak confirming their marriage news, fans are eagerly waiting for official confirmation from the couple.
