Stories of Ranbir Kapoor being a doting and hands-on father to his daughter Raha are often shared by people close to him. Recently, his Ramayana co-star Indira Krishnan recalled heartwarming moments that reaffirmed her belief that Ranbir is a devoted dad who would do anything for his little girl.

Indira Krishnan on Ranbir's unconditional love for Raha

Indira Krishnan, who plays Kaushalya in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming Ramayana, where Ranbir essays the role of Lord Ram, recently wrapped filming for part one of the project. In an interview with NDTV, Indira described Ranbir as her favorite co-star and spoke fondly about her experience working with him. She revealed that Ranbir made her feel at home on set, always checking in on her, pulling out a chair for her, and engaging in warm, thoughtful conversations.

Indira shared that Ranbir had asked her for her son’s childhood books for Raha. “He told me, ‘Raha is my dal chawal.’ The simplicity and love with which he talks about his daughter—it stayed with me. Every day he would remind me, ‘Ma'am, did you get the books for Raha?’” she recalled.

She also remembered a particularly touching incident. One day, Ranbir arrived on set with a slight limp. When she asked him what had happened, he gave the sweetest reply. “He said, ‘There was a race, Indira ji… I ran for Raha. And I came first.’ He had pulled a muscle but still showed up to work like nothing had happened. That’s Ranbir—a father before anything else,” Indira said.

Alia Bhatt and Raha: A growing bond in the public eye

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha in 2022. The couple chose Christmas 2023 as the moment to introduce their little one to the world, and since then, Raha has become one of the most loved star kids online. Alia often shared adorable pictures of Raha, which fans showered with affection.

However, in a surprising move, Alia deleted most of Raha’s pictures from her Instagram account in March this year—keeping only the ones where Raha’s face is not visible. This unexpected action left many fans speculating. Reportedly, she chose to keep her daughter away from the public eye after an intruder attacked Saif Ali Khan after force entering their Mumbai home.

Recently, a video of Alia went viral where she was seen walking toward the paparazzi and politely requesting them to put their cameras down as she wanted to have a word with them. Following this, speculation grew that Alia may have asked the photographers to refrain from clicking pictures of Raha going forward.
