BTS leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, celebrated his 31st birthday on Friday. As he turned a year older, he held a live session on Weverse wherein he interacted with fans. However, during the stream, he got teased by the BTS ARMY for wearing a diamond ring gifted by his bandmate Jin on his ring finger. Reacting to the jokes, RM explained at length why he wore the ring on that specific finger. Namjoon also opened up about how he celebrated his bithday with the boys.

During the chat, BTS RM shared details on how he celebrated his birthday eve with BTS members Jimin and V, aka Kim Taehyung. He shared, "I had dinner with V last night in a restaurant. I drank a few glasses of whiskey with Jimin. I met Jin hyung, who gave me this ring. I'm not going to marry, I'm not married. Last night, I was drinking with Jimin in his house, we talked about what’s gonna be, where we're moving on, and what we have to do after all these."

Earlier, on his Instagram stories, BTS RM had shared a photo wearing a diamond ring and tagged Jin. Along with the photo he wrote, "Jin hyungie gave me a gift." Fans spotted him wearing the ring on his wedding finger and started joking about it. A fan wrote on social media, "Yeah, you two look good together, be happy kids." as another one laughed, "Wow, Jin’s gift—his class really hits different." Another comment read, "namjin never beating married allegations." One user even wrote, "They really do love each other."

Responding to the jokes and remarks on marriage, he added, "Jin hyung gave me this! The reason I’m wearing it on my 4th ring finger is that it only fits there. Jin-hyung kept asking, 'Doesn’t it fit anywhere else??' It really doesn’t fit on any other finger. Let me show you! Jin Hyung even tried to put it on here, but it didn’t fit. If it goes in here, it won’t come off—it gets stuck. So I had no choice but to wear it on my ring finger! I'm not gonna marry, I'm not married."

According to fans, after RM posted the photo, the search on the particular ring quickly went up so high that its cost surged from $7,670 to $8,400.
