Pavitra Punia confirms relationship with US-based businessman: 'We’ve been going steady'

Confirming the news, Pavitra told Hindustan Times, “Yes, I’ve found love again, and this year, Diwali is all the more special for me as I’ll be celebrating it with his family." The 39-year-old adds, “I will be travelling abroad as he and his family are there. I am a little sad that I won’t be celebrating Diwali with my family, but also excited to be spending time with them."

Talking about who the guy is, Pavitra Punia said that he is not an actor. “He is a businessman from the USA, not at all an actor. A wonderful person, and kind. We’ve been going steady for quite some time now, and it feels right," she added.

She adds, “It’s going to feel strange not being around my parents and loved ones, decorating the house, doing the puja together. But at the same time, I’m really excited about this new phase of my life. It’s a big change, and I’m looking forward to it with an open heart.”

From being rivals to lovers, Pavitra and Eijaz’s relationship was the talk of the town post their stint in Bigg Boss 14. However, the couple called it quits in September 2024, and Pavitra stated religious differences as the issue. However, Eijaz and his family clarified they never pressured her to convert her religion.

Stating the reason behind their breakup, the actress told a news portal, “There is a shelf-life for everything; nothing is permanent. In relationships, too, there can be a shelf-life. Eijaz and I parted ways a few months ago, and I will always wish him well. I respect him a lot, but the relationship did not last."

Eijaz also expressed his best wishes for her future: “I hope Pavitra finds the love and success she deserves. She will always be a part of my duas."
