Mumbai is set to host one of the country’s biggest electronic music gatherings as Circus Festival returns to the Dome from December 26–29. The four-day event will adopt a full stadium format for the first time, aiming to reshape the large-scale live electronic experience in India. The festival will showcase eight international headliners along with top Indian artists from across the country.
Circus has been active on the global music circuit for over two decades and is known for programming house and techno on large stages. Past editions internationally have drawn high-profile performers, and the Mumbai chapter continues the format with a mix of established and emerging electronic acts.

Line-up overview
The 2025 edition brings together artists tied to different subgenres of electronic music. French DJ and producer Hugel is slated to close the festival, while Jamie Jones and Maceo Plex return as two of the year’s strongest draws for dance-music audiences. Techno acts Klangkuenstler and I Hate Models will perform on the same night, while Monolink is expected to stage a live set featuring vocals and instrumentation. UK bass producer Special Request will make a rare festival appearance, and Yousef returns both as performer and long-time driving force behind the event concept.

The Indian contingent includes Ankytrixx, ANSWER, Midnight Traffic, Kollision, Film, Kayvee, Reyhaa, Siren 333, Blurry Slur, Blithe and Realmm, among others, highlighting a cross-section of the country’s electronic scene.

Design and production
This year’s edition features a chronoform-inspired stage — a design led by international event architecture collective Panterra with Indian creators Pritish Srinivasan, Dan Naidu and Dax. The structure incorporates a central mechanical installation, high-output lighting and physical scenography, moving away from traditional LED-heavy festival visuals. The goal, organizers say, is to foreground atmosphere and immersion rather than spectacle.

Sound remains a major focus, with a purpose-built 360-degree L-Acoustics configuration tailored for the Dome’s indoor stadium environment.

Speaking about the event, Yousef, Founder of Circus Music, says, “Circus has always been about bringing diverse electronic sounds under one roof. This edition reflects how the spectrum of house and techno has evolved, and India is now one of the most energetic places to experience it.”
